Zak Doy got his start in a little bar near Columbus Square in Barcelona, Spain after becoming stuck there during 9/11 while he was finishing a backpacking trip though Europe and Southeast Asia. During his two weeks he found his passion for tending the bar and the satisfaction of serving people a great drink. It was upon his return to Toronto that he immediately sought out work as a bartender
You can find Loreta Kwong behind the bar at Uva Wine and Cocktail Bar most nights – that is when she isn’t in class or studying for an upcoming exam. Currently in school for hospitality management, Kwong has taken up bartending in her spare time. She will be competing in the Angostura Global Cocktail Canadian Challenge.
Martin Corriveau, Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge Canadian Finalist, is no stranger to crafting cocktails – this five-year veteran has a passion for mixing drinks.
