Johnathan Ross has become a force within the Canadian bar scene, so much so that he won the regional Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge for his country, representing them and placing third overall in the finals.

Martin Corriveau payed tribute to the man who invented Angostura® Aromatic Bitters during the Global Cocktail Challenge. His drink for the rum cocktail round features three signature Angostura products including Angostura® Aromatic Bitters, Angostura® 5 Yr. Rum, and Amaro di Angostura®, as well as fresh lemon juice, raw sugar syrup and a mint sprig.
It pays homage to one of the world’s oldest and most historic bars – a bar that survived the prohibition. Canadian Finalist Zak Doy created the cocktail during the Global Cocktail Challenge. It features Angostura® Bitters and Angostura® 1919 Rum, a combination that perfectly highlights the smokiness and underlying tones of fruit in this cocktail.
