The Angostura Bitters Global Cocktail Challenge in Trinidad is nearly upon us, which means our Angostura bitters North American Cocktail Challenge finalists, and bartenders from all over the world, need to pack up their trusty bartending tools.
We asked our Angostura mixologist, Jennifer, to share with us her must-have list of items that she can’t leave at home. She says, “A bartender should always be equipped with cocktail making essentials.”
Here’s what Jennifer says to pack while traveling:
- Boston shaker
- Strainer
- Jigger
- Bar spoon
- Paring knife… Be careful to check it and not pack in your carry on!
- Little black book of your best cocktail recipes
She adds, “You’ll need some extras, since the life of a bartender is always eventful and completely unexpected.”
- Ibuprofen
- Pedialyte
- Milk Thistle (helps your liver)
- Swimsuit
- Handful of Angostura bitters mini’s
- Business cards
- Camera
- All your credit cards!
